Suhana Khan, celebrity street style looks and red carpet moments may be few and far right now, but the fashion community is getting by with a little help from Instagram. Here’s a quick look at everything that caught our attention and we double tapped on our feeds this week.
In a parallel fashion universe, our social media feeds would be buzzing with Cannes updates (which was cancelled this year). Just like us, celebrities too are missing the excitement around OOTDs and reminiscing their best red carpet moments. For Priyanka Chopra, “this time last year”, as she wrote, marked her debut appearance at the Festival. She celebrated the moment with a throwback video with one of her standout looks—a pleated white jumpsuit and cape by Honayda. Missed Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Tara Sutaria’s unseen throwback pictures? Suhana Khan, Alaya F and others played dress-up at home
During the lockdown, Suhana Khan had a little impromptu photoshoot with mom Gauri Khan, for which she put on a printed strapless scarf blouse. Paired with blue jeans, the knotted ivory top featured equestrian-inspired abstract prints in shades of brown, beige and grey. Meanwhile, Alaya F styled her roomy T-shirt to look like a crop top as she recorded her new TikTok video. Even though she was working with wardrobe basics, the young actor styled them in a creative way.
Overseas, Kim Kardashian West dressed up in a white bikini and beige leather chaps “with nowhere to go”. Perhaps, the social media star put on the unexpected OOTD for her Instagram family that recently crossed over 170 million. Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez, by comparison showed off simpler looks. Jenner in a knitted taupe co-ord set by Skims and Lopez in camouflage printed sports bra + leggings look by Niyama Sol. Dua Lipa too had her creative moment by accessorising her muted loungewear with a Louis Vuitton monogram print silk scarf that knotted like a bandana. Did you notice how Harry Styles’s Gucci outfits from his latest music videos had style enthusiasts lusting all over the world?
